The Payden Cash Reserves Money Market Fund seeks to provide current income and daily liquidity while maintaining a stable share price of $1.00. The fund invests primarily in US Treasuries, government agency debentures and government collateralized repurchase agreements, avoiding the credit risk involved in corporate and bank debt securities. Though the prospectus allows the fund to invest 20% in corporate debt, the intention of the manager is to invest solely in US Treasury and agency debt.
