PAYDEN & RYGEL GLOBAL APPOINTS BOLITHO, MORRIS AS PRINCIPALS

London-based Business Grows to More Than Euro 11 Billion Under Management


London, January 3, 2007 – Payden & Rygel Global Ltd. today announced the elevation of two of its executives to Principal in its London office.

Alverne Bolitho, who joined the firm in 2001 as portfolio director, was named a principal. He is responsible for business development and client relations in the United Kingdom and continental Europe.

Mark Morris, who joined the firm in 2002 as strategy director, was named a principal with responsibility for global client relationships and portfolio management in the United Kingdom and in continental Europe.

The London operations of Payden & Rygel manage approximately Euro11 billion in a broad array of strategies in the equity and fixed income markets. The firm has grown its assets under management this year by more than Euro 1.7 billion. Fixed income and global equity mandates have been two of the most popular areas of new business in 2006.

Prior to joining the firm, Bolitho worked at Cazenove Group Plc for 14 years, where he headed the Australasian institutional desk. He is a member of the Securities & Investment Institute and is registered with the Financial Services Authority.

Prior to joining Payden & Rygel, Morris was a managing director at Credit Suisse Asset Management Ltd where he oversaw a variety of global fixed-income mandates and was a senior member of the Fixed-Income Asset Allocation Committee. Previously he worked in the project finance divisions of Barclays National Industrial Bank in Johannesburg, South Africa, and subsequently at Bank of America in London. Morris received an MBA and a BSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cape Town. He is a member of the Securities & Investment Institute.
