Fund Commentary

MARKET
Rates rose approximately 0.10% across the entire U.S. Treasury yield curve.
Though both one- and three-month LIBOR yields were approximately unchanged in July, they provide attractive nominal yields at 2.08% and 2.35% respectively. The three-month U.S. Treasury bill yield increased nearly 0.11%.
Net cash flows into money market funds decreased by $6.8 billion during the month. Institutional money market fund assets decreased by $3.7 billion, while taxable retail fund assets increased by $71 million.

OUTLOOK
Cash as an asset class is more attractive now than it has been in over a decade as rates have moved higher providing attractive all-in yields with low volatility.
The market is expecting two more hikes for 2018, which is in line with our expectations.
